Tropes

There is comfort in knowing the shape of a story. Tropes opens Time.raw with an affectionate wink at romantasy: the familiar patterns, the stereotypes, the moments we recognise and love anyway. Predictability can be sweet. It gives us somewhere to escape, and a kind of joy that does not need to apologise for itself. This is the album before the difficult questions begin: fondness, familiarity, and the pleasure of knowing what might come next.

An affectionate commentary on romantasy as a whole, rather than an adaptation of a single book.
